First of all, I want to kiss all of you smack on the mouth who said you wanted to hear more about and see the table. YOU ARE MY PEOPLE!
Second, hello? I am decorating my new house from top to bottom, one of the greatest joys in life! (At least, to me.) Why am I not sharing all that here! Prepare yourself for photos of wallpaper samples and paint chips. I beg you to tell me to stop when it’s too much.
So I wrote about my table for Tue/Night this week. Actually, I wrote more about why the table is so important, than the table itself, but that will come soon, I promise.
Tomorrow I receive deliveries for not one, not two, but THREE new pieces of furniture. I will finally have closure on monthslong delayed gratification: a grand, new sofa (modern sectional with velvety fabric, mmmm), a rustic wood cabinet to go with my table and a rustic iron-legged desk to go with the cabinet and the table. The desk and cabinet will complete my workstation, and I will, at last, have a big, giant U that can handle all my hobbies and interests, and I will twist from one project to the other in my weathered, industrial pale-yellow metal chair with the twisty stool top I can adjust to the varying heights of the U of Creativity.
I’m excited beyond words. How thrilling to finally have a place to let all the projects I want to do sit and wait for me to engage, glinting at me from their corner when I’m laying in bed at night tallying up the day.
Huzzah! But I dally: Sally forth to the table!
